ALLYSON WALLER

PRESIDENT

 

Allyson is a third year journalism major. The 2016 presidential election spurred her interest in politics and public policy. She is currently an investigative fellow at the Texas Tribune. She's written for the UT student publications ORANGE Magazine and The Daily Texan and has interned for Houstonia Magazine and The Bryan-College Station Eagle. After college, Allyson wants to pursue either print or digital journalism. 

JACQUI BRIDDELL

VICE PRESIDENT

 

Jacqui is an Afro-German third-year journalism major from West Texas. She speaks German and French, and is currently on a very rough path of attempting to self-learn Spanish. Her passion for human rights and social justice have sparked an interest in print and documentary journalism, with a focus on human interest stories. After interning with an environmental group in Cape Town, South Africa this summer, she has a newfound passion for sustainability practices. She hopes to one day grow her own vegetable garden and become the editor-in-chief of a major publication.

KAMARI ESQUEERA

SECRETARY

 

Kamari Esquerra is a second year RTF and Broadcast Journalism double major. She is also a member of TSTV. Her goal as secretary for NABJ this year is to increase membership and provide members with more internship and scholarship opportunities. With her degree, Kamari's ultimate goal is to become an eventual anchor on 'Good Morning, America'.

Faith is a current second year journalism major. She is a senior videographer for The Daily Texan, an interviewer for The Humans of the Forty Acres, a team member for The Fall 2018 Moody School of Communication Innovation Team, and a member of the Gamma Beta Phi Society. She hopes to pursue a career in broadcast journalism.

Alexis is a junior studying Journalism and Plan II Honors at the University of Texas. Her work has been seen in The Daily Texan, ORANGE Magazine, and The Daily Dot. She hopes to attend law school upon graduation and practice law in Texas
